XW1100 sensing cable has the advantage of low cost and high reliability. It is used with XW-DC seris controller in pair though it also applies universally to most  alarm hosts. It is used in the regional leakage detection (leakage detection system based on short circuit theory). Compared to parallel structure, its helical structure can reduce the false alarm caused by the electrostatic, improve the strength and the service life of the cable greatly. It can detect the presence of water along its length. Installed with a alarm module, the cable senses water intrusion, triggers an alarm.

Design flexibility

XW1100 sensing cable is supplied with factory-installed plastic connectors that plug together. The cable is designed for a range of applications, including data center subfloors, telecommunication rooms, HVAC equipment locations, pipes, electrical vaults, storage areas, tanks, and roofs. The cable is small, lightweight, and flexible, allowing easy installation.

Advanced technology

The design of XW1100 has been improved based on XW1000. The cable is constructed of 2 light but high density polyethylene sensing wires sensing wires, an alarm signal wire, and a continuity wire which are coiled and pressed together into a helix. The 2 detection wires in the helix make 2 circuits with 2 metal wires in the framework. This structure reduces the cable diameter and material cost. The rugged cable construction exposes no metal, and enables the cable to be reused even in corrosive environments. XW1100 sensing cable is mechanically strong and resistant to corrosion and abrasion.

Installation

with plug needs customer additionally purchasing the outgoing line and the terminator and the standard length of the outgoing line is 3 meters. The sensing cable without plug is defaulted connecting to a 2 meters long outgoing line by the factory with no additional cost.) Special installation adhesive is required to fix the cable on the flat surface to make the accurate alarm. Accessories (terminator, line jumper, etc) can connect multiple sensing cables together to form a complete detection loop.

• Sensing cable should avoid contact with metal objects with the process of laying.
• Sensing cable to keep dry and clean during laying.
• Sensing cable laying area should avoid electrostatic interference.
