GENERAL INFORMATION


XW-PC-3A has been designed to use with XW1000 /XW1000A /XW1000B /XW1000C /XW1000D /XW1000E sensing cables, point sensors and normally open, dry contact devices (float switch, pressure or vacuum switch, optical probe with adapter, limit switch, etc.). Up to 1500m of sensor cable can be monitored by the XW-PC-3A. With RS-485 technique, the distance can be even enlarged to 1200m. The leakage will make the relay working and trigger the alarm, then system will pinpoint the location.  


 

XW-PC-3A has five LED to indicate power, status and communications activity, as well as a relay with SPDT contacts. The XW-PC-3A can be used as a stand-alone leak detection alarm, or connected to a host system (computer, or control automation system) via MODBUS-RTU(ASCII), twisted pair RS-485 serial communication wiring.

The XW-PC-3A is designed for installation in ordinary (non-hazardous) areas. It has a range of applications, including data center, telecommunication rooms, HVAC equipment locations, pipes, electrical vaults, storage areas, tanks, and roofs.

Installation

Choose a location where the module will be protected from the elements,temperature extremes or heavy vibration.The XW-PC-3A is designed to be snapped onto standard 35mm DIN rail.The XW-PC-3A should be mounted within 1200m (4000ft) wire run from the control system host. Contact the factory for methods to increase the wire run distance beyond 1200 m.

Precautions

eq \o\ac(,7)7Please pay attention to the pin sequence of male and female connectors during the docking process of the sensing cable, insert it slightly in line with the hole position, and then lock the screw ring clockwise (unlock it anticlockwise)
